How important are corporate fun days?

What is a corporate fun day and what are the benefits of holding one? We look at what you need for a successful public fun day, and show you how to create the best event ever.

Corporate fun days have become popular in recent years and are a great way to bring staff and clients together, but what makes a great fun day?

What is a corporate fun day?

As the name suggests, a corporate fun day is a day of activities and entertainment for businesses and organisations. It gives staff and their families, or invited guests if it is being run as a PR event, the opportunity to relax and have fun, without thinking about work or business.

Reasons to hold a corporate fun day

A fun day is a great way to reward hardworking staff and it can be the perfect morale boost. Fun days are also used for public relations purposes, allowing attendees to see your organisation at its most relaxed, and of course they make great charity fundraisers too.

What are the benefits of a corporate fun day?

  • Fun days encourage people to mix and for members of staff, this can boost morale as they get to know each other outside of the working environment
  • Staff will feel valued if management invest in a fun day to show appreciation. This can lead to increased productivity.
  • Public fun day events are the perfect way to build better relationships and allow members of the public to see your human side.

Corporate fund day activities and entertainment

From bouncy castle hire and giant games, to football activities and rodeo bull hire, plus all fun food and street foods, the ALS Group can tailor your event hire to suit your exact needs and our staff is experienced in creating bespoke packages. The following is a small example of what we offer:

Bouncy Castle Hire

Children and adults all love a bouncy castle so why not supply one for adults and one for children? All our inflatables are PIPA tagged for safety and we are members of the BIHA (British Inflatable Hirers Alliance).

Football Activities

Inflatable and activity hire at the ALS Group includes lots of popular football activities, with a 6-a-side inflatable football pitch and football target shootout. We also offer a football theme package.

Giant Games

Great for getting people together, our selection of Giant Games includes favourites such as noughts and crosses and Jenga, as well as croquet, boules and quoits, with something for every age.

All The Fun of The Fair

Traditional fairground stalls work well alongside large-scale activities and are great for older visitors who can try their hand at old faithfuls like tin can alley, ball in a bucket, and hook a duck. For very young visitors, we also have a CRB checked face painter available.

Rodeo Bull Hire

Always popular, our rodeo bull simulator can be used indoors and outdoors and, where required, can be supplied with flood lighting and a generator. Rodeo bull hire includes an experienced ride controller who will control the rodeo bull throughout the rental period.

After all the activities, your guests will need to replenish their energy with quality food and beverages, so why not offer a selection of fun foods such as churros, crepes, popcorn and ice cream? Or choose from a choice of street food stands including paella, burgers or pizza, or a good old-fashioned fish and chip van. Our article What is street food? has lots more information.
