Things to consider when styling an event marquee
- How will you use the marquee? - Are you having an outdoor ceremony in the marquee or will you be holding the reception only in it? Will there be dancing or entertainment?
- Calculate guest numbers and think about seating plans - Will guests need to be seated, for example for a sit down meal, or are you serving finger foods or a buffet?
- Consider the theme of your wedding - Are you going for an intimate, relaxed feel or a rustic atmosphere? Or perhaps you are hosting a more traditional celebration with a formal wedding breakfast and order of events.
- Take in to account the time of year – Will it be warm outside or are you having a winter wedding? This will impact on whether you need to think about marquee heating.
How to dress a marquee
Make a grand entrance statement! Whatever your style of wedding, dressing the entrance of the marquee to welcome guests with the wow factor is a great idea. Extravagant arrangements of fresh flowers are impactful but may well eat up a large chunk of your budget. If styling your marquee yourself, cost effective artificial topiary trees look elegant and stylish, and can be dressed with ribbon and bows to match your colour scheme.
